These three stories are examples of the many lives that have been touched by The Glen Gives. There are many more examples of The Glen Gives having stepped up to provide stabilization and security to struggling families in Central Oregon. And while we have helped with housing, car repairs and healthcare, most importantly we have helped provide hope, dignity and a future for our Central Oregon neighbors.
Glen Gives offers support to help Central Oregon residents rebuild their lives.
In 2004, a close-knit group of friends from the Awbrey Glen and Awbrey Butte neighborhoods came together. As newcomers to Bend, we noticed the income disparities among its residents. Many families were living paycheck to paycheck, struggling to manage unexpected expenses like medical bills or car repairs. We recognized that even minor issues could spiral into significant challenges due to limited financial resources. Our mission became clear: to help families stay in their homes and support their ability to work. Since we all hailed from the Awbrey Glen Golf Club, we decided to call ourselves The Glen Gives.
What We Have Given

By fostering opportunity and stability for families over the years, we have also played a role in enhancing the resilience of the wider Central Oregon community.
